OVERVIEW
The Tracy Family Swim Center will be a world-class public amenity, conveniently located at Ellis on 20 acres of beautiful property with ease of access for all Tracy residents by car or bicycle. Features include an Olympic-size competition pool for competitive swim meets, a large recreational pool for swim lessons and recreational activities and a play pool for kids. Other family-fun features will include a lazy river, flow rider, water slide, sprayground, wet play structures, locker rooms, snackbar and picnic areas.
AMENITIES
The Tracy Family Swim Center will give Tracy residents a variety of one-of-a-kind amenities, including:
- 50-Meter Olympic-Size Pool: This pool will accommodate up to 18 lanes of 25-yard swimming laps or eight lanes for practice and competitions. It can also be used for masters swimming, synchronized swimming, scuba lessons and lifeguard training.
- Recreation Pool: This pool is for families with children of varying ages that can be used by swimmers and non-swimmers alike.
- Water Slide: The water slide is for all ages and abilities and will conveniently connect with the recreation pool.
- Lazy River: This recreation amenity will attract swimmers of all ages. The lazy river will be a one-of-a kind attraction that allows you to walk, swim, or float along the rivers meandering path through the Tracy Family Swim Center.
- Flow Rider: Connected to the lazy river, this exciting feature will create a stationary wave perfect for surfing, boogie boarding, or watching.
- Sprayground Area: This area will be a combination of spray and wet play features built into the pool deck The area is designed so that there is no standing water.
- Water Aerobics: Low impact water aerobic classes.
- Wet Play Structure: This structure will contain small slides, interactive water wheels and valves, waterfall devices, decks and spray features.
- Shower/Locker facilities
- Snack Bars
- Picnic and BBQ Area: Perfect for relaxing family get-togethers.

OPEN TO ALL:
The Tracy Family Swim Center will be an attraction for all Tracy residents. With multiple pools and water sports features, it will offer families recreational, instructional and competitive pools along with water aerobics as well as a place to relax and have fun.

The Tracy Family Swim Center will be conveniently located at Ellis on Corral Hollow Road across from Edgewood.
FUNDING:
The Surland Companies have offered to donate 20 acres of land, and fund up to $20 million for the design of the Tracy Family Swim Center at no cost to Tracy taxpayers.
HISTORY:
The Tracy Family Swim Center is a result of years of community input and outreach that culminated in a creative public-private partnership arrangement (or Development Agreement) whereby Surland proposes to design and fund up to $20 million towards the Tracy Family Swim Center on 20 acres of land to the City of Tracy at Ellis, in return for a certain number of annual growth allotments per year as allowed under Measure A. The Ellis vision encompasses 320 acres and calls for a traditional residential community in keeping with the wonderful historic neighborhoods of Tracy. It includes a mix of residential, commercial, office/professional, and recreational uses with the focal point of community activities around the village center where neighborhood-serving retail services and residences are all within easy walking distances.
TIMELINE:
Subject to City Council approval of the development agreement in 2008, construction can begin in Summer/Fall 2009 with completion estimated to take approximately 24 months.
